DDMA to review Covid situation today, "Omicron" Worry!

All Delhi Government departments are on high alert


Amid the sudden rise in new Variant "Omicron" cases have led the respective countries to review the scenario. The Delhi disaster management authority (DDMA) will hold a meeting today and take a call on incoming international passengers and experts from the ministry of civil aviation are expected to attend the meeting today.

As per the sources, the Delhi government is deeply concerned about the international passengers arriving in the National capital especially from South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Hong kong.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor, Anil Baijal has instructed the officials to ensure strict adherence to Covid appropriate behavior in public aces and full preparedness in the hospital to manage to Covid emergency. He has also instructed the police officers to check appropriate Covid behavior in markets, public places, and functions.

 

Many countries have imposed a travel ban, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has also written a request letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi after worrying about Omicron cases. Many other states in India are imposing fresh guidelines for international travelers. Madhya Pradesh has mandated Covid RT -PCR testing for international travelers and also other countries have reissued fresh guidelines in worry of "omicron."
