Dead lizard Found Inside Milk Packet In Chennai

A Chennai resident took to Twitter to bring this matter into light!

A resident of Chennai’s Pallikaranai took to social media and claimed that a person in his apartment had found a lizard inside a packet of milk supplied by Aavin, the state government milk production cooperative in Chennai.

However, Aavin officials denied the allegations and said there was no possibility of such a big foreign object entering a sealed packet of milk.

Posting a picture and a video of the milk packet and the dead lizard, the consumer said he had taken the packet back to the milk shop and also raised concerns about whether the entire batch of milk was contaminated and poisonous.

The lizard was found in the green magic packet of Aavin's pasteurised milk. The packet, which is worth Rs. 22, is a half-litre packet dated September 28.

After the incident came to light, the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Milk Producers Federation (TNCMPF) denied the possibility of such a big foreign object entering the sealed cover.

A few days earlier, in Madurai, a fly was found in the Green magic packet of Aavin milk. The resident had captured a video of the fly inside the sealed packet and had taken it back to the shop that supplied the milk. Officials ordered an investigation into the matter to prevent any mishap.
