A man sentenced to death...
On 15 March 2023, a man was sentenced to death for raping and killing a 9-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh by the special court.
As per the information provided by DCP Rural, Ravi Kumar, the Ghaziabad POSCO (the protection of children from sexual offenses) court announced the death sentence after the six months of the investigation and incident under Sections 302, 363, and 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Following the case, an incident came to light on August 18, 2022, in the Modinagar area where a girl was found dead in a village. It was also identified that the accused is also from the same village.
Earlier, on February 9, the Ghaziabad court sentenced a man to death for raping and murdering a six-year-old girl.
