Punjabi Actor Passes Away!
On Tuesday a shocking incident took place where a Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu passes away.
According to the information, Deep Sidhu met in a car accident and he passed away during treatment on Tuesday (February 15). He Sidhu was going from Delhi to Bhatinda in Punjab when the SUV in which he was travelling rammed a trailer truck at 9:30 pm on Tuesday, the police said.
According to the information given by police, A woman, who was in the car accompanying him, is undergoing treatment and is out of danger, said Superintendent of Police (SP) Sonipat, Rahul Sharma.
On Deep Sidhu's brother Surjeet's complaint, Sonipat Police has registered an FIR against a truck driver, who, the complaint alleges, applied breaks suddenly, resulting in the accident at Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) last night.
FIR has been filed under sections 279 (rash driving) & 304A (causing death by negligence) of IPC.
According to the statement given by police, SP Rahul Sharma said, "We got information that two people have been brought to the hospital after a road accident. The man identified as Deep Sidhu died during treatment and the woman is undergoing treatment and is now out of danger."
Deep Sidhu was arrested by the Delhi Police in February last year in connection with a tractor rally by farmers on Republic Day that spiralled into violence after protesters came to the Red Fort and attacked policemen.
The farmers were protesting against three new farm laws, which were withdrawn by the centre in November 2021.
Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi extended condolences over the death.
According to the tweet he said, "Deeply saddened to learn about the unfortunate demise of renowned actor and social activist, Deep Sidhu. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family and fans."
