Delhi Air Quality Stands at "Very Poor"

Ghaziabad and Noida to witness poor air quality


On Tuesday,  the air quality in the National capital remained in the very poor category.  The capital city is witnessing deteriorating air quality conditions in the city. The Air quality index stood at 331 at 6 am.

As per the information, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi’s north campus remained at 356, Mathura road at 349, Pusa road at 319 and IIT Delhi reported 319. Also, the air quality index (AQI) of Noida and Ghaziabad remained in the poor category. Noida's sector 52  stands at 418 and Ghaziabad Indirapuram stands at 366.

 

The air quality between zero to 50 is good, 5q to 10p is satisfactory, 101 to 200 is moderate,  201 to 300 is poor and 301 to 400 is very poor and 401 to 500.

 

On Monday the Supreme court had directed the centre to call an emergency meeting Tuesday to stop non Essential work such as constructions, transportation and power plants due to incessant pollution rise. 

 

As per the statement,  the authorities on Monday said the air quality in the Delhi NCR region is not going to see any improvement or another three days.

 

National capital surges with its pollution level with the arrival of winter. The capital city witnesses an incessant increment in its pollution level due to stubble burning and firecrackers.
