Delhi: Apollo Hospital Doctors attacked after Covid-19 patient dies waiting for a bed


The death rate in the Capital is at its peak, patients are dying because of long queues  for beds and are unable to get treatment on time. A case from Delhi's  Apollo hospital is in the limelight on social media where doctors were attacked after a patient died, waiting for a bed. On Tuesday a shocking visual went viral over social media where a group of men can be seen fighting just inside the hospital gate, A masked man in a grey shirt can be seen furiously attacking another, with the use of a wooden stick.

According to the police report, "We got a call at around 9 AM  and reached to find an old lady who had died in the morning. There were some arguments by her relatives and a scuffle...there were no injuries and no complaint was received from relatives or the hospital". 

According to hospital authorities, "Attendants got violent after the patient died...it usually happens when someone dies". However later the situation was normalized after the police arrived.
