Delhi CM Flags-Off E-Buses

A total of 300 electric busses are planned by April 2022


On Monday, the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal flags off electric buses in the capital city. This is the first electric bus service in the capital city by the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) which has been made by JBM auto. 


According to the Delhi Transport Minister, Kailash Gehlot, the bus service will be available from today for the general public. He said DTC plans to introduce 50 Electric buses by the second week of February and 300 more buses to be out by April.


According to the statement given by Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, "it's important measures to control pollution; 300 such E Buses will start till April, the target is 2000. It will cover a minimum distance of 120 km; charging points are being arranged."  


The Delhi Chief Minister also introduced 100 new AC CNG (Compressed natural gas) buses at Rajghat in Delhi. Delhi is on the priority list with new innovative ideas and upcoming upgrades. 

 

With an incessant rise in the pollution level, E Bus services have been started in the capital city to curb the pollution level and provide a comfortable traveling and sitting accommodation to the general passengers.


As per the information, the buses have numerous facilities like they have low floor electricity like their CNG counterparts are equipped with the art facilities, real time passenger information, CCTV, Panic button, and GPS. 


In November 2021, the Delhi cabinet approved the induction of 190llow-floor AC CNG buses under the cluster scheme. The data gets Low floor buses for the public- Red one denoting ac low floor, free low floor, blue AC low floor CNG and AC.
