Delhi CM releases winter action plan to stop the spread of air pollution

The Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal issued a 10 point winter action plan to reduce the pollution.

The national capital witnesses an incessant rise in air pollution during the winter season and the city gets choked making it difficult for people to breathe. The suffocating environment leads to more hazardous diseases and other health issues.

With the arrival of the winter season, where in nearby states like Haryana and Punjab, farmers start stubble burning which disturbs the overall environment of the capital city. The Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal issued a 10 point winter action plan to reduce the pollution.

As per the statement given by Delhi CM during a press conference, he said, "I have been posting Delhi’s air quality recordings since September 15, and we have seen that Delhi’s pollution levels are in control. But since the central and neighbouring state governments have not done much to help farmers, Delhi’s air quality will start deteriorating in a few days because of stubble burning." He also added that instead of playing the blame-counter blame game, they have found a solution to stubble burning. "We have requested the central government to take into consideration our request and hope this alternate plan will be implemented”.
