Delhi CM Says "main hu na" For Migrants

Chief Minister of National Capital Arvind Kejriwal imposed for 1 week curfew.


According to Police officials over 5,000 people including migrants workers arrived and gathered at Anand Vihar at ISBT and at the railway station as well to catch a bus for their home,  after an hour CM Arvind Kejriwal announced lockdown for 1  week till the Monday morning and urged to every migrant workers with folded hands not to leave Delhi, while  word of assurance - "Main hoon na" (I am here for you). He was also saying that the short period of lockdown would need not be extended.

CM in context of lockdown said that "l assure you, the government will take full care of you. Main hun na, mujh par bharosa rakho (I am here for you, have faith in me)," and announcing the curfew from 10 PM tonight to 5 AM next April26, Monday.

The police were also in touch with civil administration officials and talk about to either arrange transport for them or  homes for their temporary stay in National Capital, the officer said. Meanwhile, the migrants were scared that the lockdown could be extended as per the situation of COVID-19 cases was deteriorating day by day.

The Chief Minister in an online meeting said that , "I would like to appeal to them(migrants), with folded hands, this is a short lockdown of six days. Please do not leave Delhi. You would lose a lot of time, money, and energy in travelling. Stay in Delhi."
