Delhi CM to Review Covid Situation

Yellow alert likely to be implemented...


On Tuesday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will hold a high-level meeting to review to Covid-19 led scenario in the Capital city. On Monday, the city witnessed the largest single-day spike in the cases of Covid-19.

According to the information, the meeting will take place at noontime at the Delhi secretariat. It also said the Graded response action plan (GRAP) is likely to be implemented and will be the priority of the meeting. Whereas yellow alert with its host of restrictions under GRAP is likely to take place.

 

According to the data, the capital city on Monday reported 331 fresh cases of COVID, which records the highest single-day spike in the city after six months. The Covid positivity rate surpassed 0.5percebt for the second consecutive day in Delhi. Earlier, Delhi witnessed 331 cases in June.

 

The capital city is already under the night curfew. The curfew takes place from 11 pm till 5 am. Also, shops with non-Essential commodities will be open from 10 am to 8 pm in the city. The surge in Cases of Covid-19 and covid-19 led omicron is creating havoc. With the arrival of the New Year, public gatherings and rush may lead to rising in the cases of the deadly virus. Many other cities have imposed restrictions related to traveling and opening of shops and public places to curb the infection level.
