Delhi environment Minister, Gopal Rai to hold a high-level review meeting

The meeting will be reviewed to check pollution


Delhi environment Minister, Gopal Rai will hold a high-level review meeting in the capital city to check the air pollution level in the City. He has also directed the employee to continue work from home till November 26.


According to the statement, the minister said, "All Delhi Government employees will continue working from home till November 26. Truck entries, except Essential commodities, shall remain closed till November 26. We are planning to grant entry to CNG trucks." Adding more he said, "prevailing pollution in Delhi has now been decreasing, due to various measures taken against it and the change in wind speed. Keeping this in mind, the ban on demolition and construction has now been taken back, but strict monitoring will continue." Said the environment minister.

 

According to a senior government official, the environment minister also held a meeting on November 22 to check the pollution levels and also assured that the Delhi government is making efforts to curb the pollution level of the capital city.


The minister further said, "Any site caught violating 14 point guidelines, for controlling pollution, will be shut without notice and imposed with the penalty and strict proceedings. We have constituted 585 joint monitoring teams with DPCC, Revenue, and MCDs "


The Delhi government is incessantly working towards pollution control. Many initiatives and plans are implemented by the Delhi government. Several campaigns are also running in the city. Awareness camps and many other programs are the part of the Delhi government to curb the pollution level of the National capital.
