Delhi Environment Minister to Review Air Pollution Situation

Meeting to be Held with Senior Officials


Nation capital is reeling under incessant pollution levels. The pollution scenario is leading to several other health-related illnesses and is also creating problems for many other sectors.

 

As per the information, officials from civic bodies, the fired department, the public works department, and other departments will attend the meeting. Also, the government on December 2 had announced the closure of schools in the National capital due to incessant pollution which might create illness issues in the school-going kids.

 

As per the information, trucks, and vehicles without CNG or e trucks are banned in the capital city. The Delhi government has been running with numerous other initiatives to curb the pollution level. Installment of smog towers and many other programs, campaigns are actively taking place to normalize the level.

 

Not only the national capital, other nearby states Noida and Gurgaon are also witnessing a rise in pollution levels. According to the system of air quality and weather forecasting and research (SAFAR) report, Gurgaon logged Air quality index (AQI) of 286, and Noida at256 comes under the poor category.

 

On Monday the Air Quality Index (AQI) in the National capital stood at 256.
