Delhi Government Chalks out Anti-Dengue Action Plan

Amid heavy rains in the capital city and the NCR regions for more than three long days. The cases of dengue surges with rainfall and water contamination in the city. The city witnesses a surge in mosquitoes count. 


Meanwhile, to tackle the situation first, the Delhi government has prepared a comprehensive plan to curb the rise. 


To curb the rise in dengue cases, a comprehensive plan was prepared after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s meeting with officials from the health department, Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) and other departments.


District-level officers have been directed to make people aware of the prevention of mosquito-borne diseases in their respective areas. For the prevention of dengue, cooperation of all Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) and ongoing construction sites will be sought. Governmental officials will also keep an eye on their offices.


During the meeting, a discussion took place over the implementation of necessary actions to control the rising number of dengue cases as soon as possible. The officials informed the chief minister about the measures being implemented to avoid dengue cases and raise public awareness.


As per the information, CM directed all the concerned departments to work unitedly by establishing harmony among themselves. It was informed that people are being instructed on how to prevent the spread of dengue fever. Where there is negligence in compliance with the guidelines, challans are also being issued.


As per the information, 35 hospitals have been identified for early diagnosis and supportive treatment. Whereas Notification of each case is being done and Case-based monitoring and quick response is being done by the departments.
