The Delhi Government on Sunday decided to enhance greenery on roads and flyovers with shrubs, hedges, creepers and other numerous flowers and bushes.


The national capital has been witnessing poor air quality index. The Delhi Government on Sunday decided to enhance greenery on its roads and flyovers with shrubs, hedges, creepers and other numerous flowers and bushes.

As per the statement given by the Public work Department (PWD), central and side verges of roads and flyovers and walls of over bridges will be planted with seasonal flowering plants and shrubs on several road stretches and flyovers. "There are many flyovers and roads with greenery is less which results in dust we have identified some of these stresses including the Ring Road Chirag Delhi flyover IIT flyover in the Mega drive we will use decorative and seasonal flowering plants shrubs, Hedges for roads and FlyOver", said the official.

Meanwhile, the national capital has been witnessing a lot of dust lately. Whereas it is a major problem for the daily commuters and travelers using bikes and other open vehicles. With, this they also face major eye issues, asthma problems and many dust-related diseases.
