Delhi Govt. Issues Notice, Directs School Heads And NGOs For Dry Ration For Students

Surge in Covid cases


On Thursday, the Delhi government has issued a notice directing all schools heads and NGOs to provide dry ration kits among students. 


With an increase in the cases of Covid-19, the National capital is witnessing a rise in the daily cases. The capital city reels under severe cold and COVID crisis. The Delhi government issued a notice to provide relief by giving dry ration.


As per an official statement, education officials of the districts are ordered to ensure strict compliance and supervision.


According to the statement given in order by the Directorate of Education. School head and all NGOs to ensure that the dry ration kits provided under the mid-day meal scheme are distributed to students through their parents. The order also asked the HOS to submit a report to the directorate post ensuring the distribution of kits to all students in schools.


According to the statement given by the Delhi Health Minister, Satyendar Jain said, Delhi records nearly 17,000 fresh Covid cases, Peak expected soon. The cases in the capital city are on the surge. The city is also under weekend curfew after which the cases are still on a rise. The positivity rate touches 17 percent in the National capital.  Health Minister also said, "There are more than 30,000 active Covid-19 cases in Delhi and 24 patients are on ventilator… Delhi residents need to stay alert for the next two months " informed the health minister.
