The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for "extremely bad weather" in the national capital on Wednesday. According to the IMD, Delhi is likely to witness light to moderate precipitation starting Wednesday night and an orange alert has been issued for Thursday as moderate to heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places.

Owing to bad weather conditions, there is a possibility of waterlogging and disruption of traffic in the city. Strong winds are likely to blow in the national capital during the day and the maximum temperature is predicted to settle around 34 degrees Celsius, added IMD.

As per an IMD official, it has been predicted that Delhi is likely to receive moderate rain over the next two days which means the city will witness "another record for monsoon precipitation."
