Delhi: Laxmi Nagar main market and shops closed till July 5 as they were found to be violating Covid-19 rules


New Delhi's East Market including Laxmi Nagar main market and nearby shops have been closed till July 5 for violating Covid-19 norms. Sonika Singh, District Magistrate of East Delhi issued a notice in this regard for shutting down all the shops except those involving essential services.

According to ANI, it said that "Laxmi Nagar main market and surrounding markets like Mangal Bazar, Vijay Chowk, Subhash Chowk Jagatram Park, Guru Ram Das Nagar will remain shut from 10 p.m. on 29 June till 10 p.m. of July 5 for not following covid-19 appropriate behaviour."

According to the daily health Bulletin issued by the Delhi Government, it said that on Tuesday, June 29 the National Capital reported 101 new Covid-19 cases and 4 deaths. The positivity rate in Delhi is currently at 0.15 per cent. 

Meanwhile, the order issued by the Delhi disaster management authority (DDMA) on Saturday stated Park, Gym, banquet hall, Golf courses and yoga centres in the National Capital can open now. whereas E- pass and registration for people arriving from other states are also not mandatory.
