Delhi: Man arrested for allegedly raping a woman

They met through an online dating app Bumble...


A man The Delhi Police has registered a case against a man accused of raping a woman whom he befriended through dating app Bumble.

The incident came to light after the woman approached the police and filed a complaint against the man, alleging he took her home and raped her.

According to the woman, she started talking to the accused person through Bumble in January.

After some time, the man allegedly insisted on meeting her late at night.

As per reports at a tea stall, the two met later that evening, after which the accused took the woman to his home in the Basant Nagar area and allegedly raped her.

A case in this matter was registered against the accused under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), police said.

Further investigations in the case were going on.

Earlier this month, a man in his complaint to the Gurugram Police alleged he was robbed by a woman he met through Bumble. The man alleged the woman came to his house and decamped with his mobile phone, gold jewellery, and drained his bank accounts of Rs 1.78 lakh after drugging him
