Delhi Metro Services To Be Partially Curtailed On January 26

Changes In Metro timing and closure ahead of Republic Day


Ahead of Republic Day celebrations in the national capital Delhi. The Delhi metro rail services (DMRC) will be partially curtailed on January 26.


According to the statement given by Delhi metro rail services (DMRC), the stations are the central secretariat, Udhyog Bhawan, Patel Chowk, and Lok Kalyan Marg. In addition, all parking lots will also remain close from 6 am on January 25 till 2 pm on January 26.

 

It also said, the line two services of HUDA city, Samaypur Badli of the Delhi Metro will be partially regulated on Wednesday. This is being done as part of the security arrangements for the republic day celebration as per the instructions of Delhi Police.


As per the information, the central secretariat will only be used for interchange. Entry and exit at Patel Chowk, Lok Kalyan Marg will remain closed from 8:45 am to 12 noon. However, the normal services will be restored at 6:30 Pm.


Ahead of Republic Day, the Delhi police have made high-tech security arrangements to prevent any kind of terrorist incident.

 

The Delhi police said a face recognition system has been installed to immediately identify any terror suspect or criminal.

 

The system has a database of 50,000 suspected criminals. Also, three control rooms are keeping a watch on the Rajpath through more than 500 CCTV cameras, 30,000 police including 71 DCPs,213 ACPs,753 inspectors have been given the command of security ahead of the Republic Day parade.
