DMRC to convert its 6 coaches to 8
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has decided to add more additional coaches to the metro line. These Coaches will be added in major lines to reduce the rush amidst the pandemic.
According to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) "DMRC will convert its 6 coaches train to 8 coaches train on Red, Yellow and blue lines The conversion is expected to be completed by the end of this year after which all trains on these lines will be 8 coaches".
The DMRC will be exceeding it by adding 120 additional coaches on specific busy line which include red- (Rithala to Shaheed sthal New bus stand adda)yellow- (Huda to samaypur badli) and Blue (Dwarka/Noida)This is being done to increase the carrying capacity as these three corridors carry around 40 to 50% of passengers utilization every day.
