Delhi metro to start pick up & drop bus services from Thursday

From August 12, the service of 24-seater, low floor e-buses will be provided on two routes.


The feeder electric bus services will be provided by Delhi Metro from Thursday on a trial basis. The feeder electric bus services will pick up and drop the passengers from point a to point b. From August 12, the service of 24-seater, low floor e-buses will be provided on two routes. The metro passengers with a Delhi Metro Smart Card or Metro DTC Smart Card can enjoy this service.

Besides, passengers can make payment with the Smart Card, as the system is completely contactless. Moreover, the entry and exit can be done using the card. The passenger is allowed to travel from the Metro stations to the drop location, which is a designated stop.

Meanwhile, no other passenger will be allowed to enter at other stoppages on the route. Similarly, for buses that are going to Metro stations, entry can be done from all stoppages enroute, but the exit can be done only at Metro stations. The service is aimed to provide an extra facility to the Metro passengers. The passengers are allowed to enter from the front gate and exit from the rear gate of the bus.
