Delhi: More than 300 cops test positive for Covid-19


India is witnessing a second wave of Covid-19 and the caseloads are gradually increasing. Now, the one who used to keep a check on everyone for safety precautions regarding infectious viruses have been tested positive. More than 300 cops have been contaminated with this virus out of which 15 have been admitted to the hospital and are under observation. The rest of them have been home quarantined.

According to ANI, " as many as 300 personnel have been infected with the virus.15 of them have been admitted to the hospital and are kept under observation, whereas the rest of the police personnel are hone quarantined."

Meanwhile, a weekend curfew has been imposed in the capital to prevent the deadly infection from spreading further. Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal has also called for an emergency meeting and the Government has decided to make Deputy Chief Minister,  Manish Sisodia the Nodal officer for Covid-19 management. The meeting will be attended by Health Minister Satyendar Jain.
