Delhi-NCR postpones College Exams Due to Farmers’ Protest.

"Delhi Chalo" march disrupts college exams in Delhi-NCR region

On Friday several colleges in the Delhi-NCR regions called off their end-term examinations due to the farmers protest march. Many colleges cancelled their exams as students could not travel to their examination centers due to closed borders situations.

As per a prominent news agency a student said “We are coming down from Rohtak. Our exams were cancelled. There are so many students who have travelled to their colleges. It is causing a lot of problems for us”. Another student said “Bahadurgarh metro station has closed. My college cancelled the exam at the last minute. Now it is very difficult for me to travel back home.

Near the borders of Delhi heavy security groups have been assigned duties due to the ongoing farmer protest marches. Maximum security has been deployed at the Rohtak-Jhajjar border, Delhi-Gurugram border and the Delhi-Jammu highway at the Karna lake at Karnal. Commuters and students who are trying to enter the capital city from different parts of the country are stuck at the Delhi-Panipat highway due to the ongoing ‘Delhi-Chalo’ protest march by the farmers.
