Delhi Police arrests Navneet Kalra

Navneet Kalra, the main accused in the oxygen concentrator black marketing case arrested from Gurugram


Navneet Kalra, the main accused in the case of black marketing of oxygen concentrator from many other restaurants besides Khan Chacha restaurant located in Khan Market, was arrested by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police late on Sunday night. Navneet Kalra was hiding in the farmhouse of his brother-in-law in Gurugram. 524 oxygen concentrators were recovered by Delhi Police from Navneet Kalra's restaurant and farmhouse. The crime branch has arrested the accused on Sunday night. The accused is being interrogated at the Maidan Garhi police station.

According to police officials, on Sunday night, on the basis of secret information, the police raided the farmhouse of the brother-in-law of Navneet Kalra located in Gurugram. From where Navneet Kalra was arrested. Earlier, the Saket court had rejected Navneet Kalra's anticipatory bail plea following which the Delhi High Court also refused to stay Kalra's arrest.

Lodhi Colony Police Station first recovered 419 oxygen concentrators from one of the restaurants in Central Market. Along with this, 5 accused were also arrested. Police also seized 105 oxygen concentrators from two other restaurants in Khan Market on the accused's behest. In this case, Matrix Cellular, the company of Navneet Kalra and his friend, was the main narrator. Police had registered a case under 420, the Essential Commodities Act and the Epidemic Act in this case.
