Delhi police launches e-learning platform "unnati"

Would help school dropouts and youth

On Sunday, Delhi police commissioner Rakesh Asthana launched an e-learning platform "unnati". This e-learning platform will help the youths and school dropouts to get educated.

Knowing about "unnati" it has a simple design and anyone can learn and grab knowledge through it. It is easily accessible on mobile phones, laptops, and tablets.

Unnati will provide training, counseling, and placement for trainees. Further, the live recording sessions will also be made available for the students if they miss any lectures.

This initiative comes under the flagship scheme YUVA. Like every year around 1.5 lakh people are arrested by the Delhi police in different types of crime.  The YUVA targets education for those kids. Also, a certificate will be provided after completion of the course.

According to the statement given by Delhi police, PRO Chinmoy Biswal said," a certificate will be provided to students that will help them in getting placement. The course offered includes a digital literacy course comprising basic computer courses and typing training, preparatory courses for competitive exams and sports courses."

The crime rate has been steadily rising in the country. Because of poverty and lack of education, the young youths are trapped under several crimes. Crimes including robbery, stealing, snatching mobile phones or precious objects are several types of crimes happening every day. This initiative will help in reducing crime after the youth gets an education.
