Delhi Police Seeks Data On ‘Toolkit Creators From Google

Delhi police write to Google seeking data on toolkit creators

The Delhi Police wrote to Google and social media giants to provide information about e-mail ids, URLs and certain social media accounts on Friday which is related to a toolkit shared by Greta Thunberg, a Swedish teen climate activist this week in connection to farmers’ protests. A day after Delhi Police’s cyber cell filed a case against the toolkit creators for waging a social, cultural and economic war against India the letter by the Delhi Police arrived.

On February 4 a toolkit was tweeted by Greta on her official twitter handle which revealed ways to support the farmers’ agitation. At first the toolkit document was deleted as it was outdated and the later again an updated toolkit was uploaded. The toolkit had urged the supporters of the cause to tweet frequently, interact with local representatives and read more about the issue. The toolkit also called to organize protests on February 13 and 14 outside Indian embassies.
