Delhi police seize 756kg of firecrackers

On Tuesday, officials reported that two individuals were apprehended by the Delhi Police, and a total of 756 kilograms of firecrackers were confiscated.

 

In two separate incidents, Radhey Shyam (61) and Pawan Kumar Garg (41) were taken into custody and charged with storing firecrackers, according to the police. Special Commissioner of Police, Ravindra Singh Yadav, revealed that they received information about firecrackers being stored in a grocery shop in the Anand Parbat area of central Delhi.

 

During a raid, authorities confiscated 522 kg of firecrackers from Radhey Shyam's shop. He informed the police that he had bought the firecrackers from neighboring Gurugram in Haryana.

 

Shyam, the accused, shared details about a firecracker distributor named Pawan Kumar Garg, leading to Garg's arrest in Tri Nagar. The police team recovered 234 kgs of firecrackers from Garg," according to Yadav.
