Delhi police to organise "Jan Sunwai" camps every Saturday. Assistant Commissioners will organize public hearing Camps at police stations in the National Capital every Saturday between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.


On Friday (2 July) Delhi police officials announced that the Assistant Commissioners will organize public hearing Camps at police stations in the National Capital every Saturday between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. According to the statement given by officials "Jan Sunwai '' camps will be organized on Commissioner Balaji Shrivastava's directions to ensure speedy redressal of Public grievances.

Balaji Srivastava, who took additional charges as the commissioner on Wednesday was earlier part of the Delhi Police Special Commissioner (vigilance). He belongs to the 1988 batch IPS officer of the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory(AGMUT) cadre and has previously worked as a director of the General of Police (DGP)of Puducherry and Mizoram and special commissioner, intelligence, economic offences wing and Special Cell Delhi. He discussed the priority areas and roadmap of Delhi Police in the coming days. They said curbing Street crime, the direct public interferes at the district level for grievance redressal, ensuring women safety, the welfare of the personnel and initiating Anti-terror measures are among the priority areas." He also emphasized the implementation of Delhi Disaster Management Authority's guidelines to ensure Covid-19 appropriate behaviour.
