Delhi ranks 62 among world's best cities.

It was a moment of pride for Indians when the National Capital was adjudged the 62nd position among top 100 cities of the world 2021 list. Making a long lasting imprint on the world map, Delhi grabbed the spot due to its developing modernity complementing authenticity. From historical sites to Lutyens' amazingly designed Connaught Place; from Saket's sophisticated cafes to Chandni Chowk's Nataraj Tikki and Parathe wali gali, everything about Delhi is reminiscence of the Nation's delightful history and traditions and the city resides not only in the hearts of Delhiites but the whole of India.

Delhi has jumped from last year's 81 to 62 this year in ranking regulated by Resonance Consultancy Ltd. The Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal extended his whole hearted wishes and gratitude after the declaration of this prestigious news. He took to his twitter handle saying, "Such a good news for all Dilliwalas, all Dilliwalas have worked so hard to make this happen. The world is noticing positive changes happening in Delhi." He emphasized on the contribution and efforts of Delhites in achieving this noble place. The Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia also congratulated the CM and proud citizens on attainment of great heights, praising the motivating leadership of CM Arvind Kejriwal.

The parameters such as statistical performance and qualitative performance were observed to compile the list. London grabbed first spot for the sixth time in a row, while New York, Paris, Moscow and Tokyo acquired second, third, fourth and fifth spots respectively. The focus was centred on diversity, weather, number of parks and tourist attractions, number of social media hashtags and check ins. Deep emphasis on covid 19 strategies, income incongruity and unemployment for the first time was taken under consideration.

Delhi is established on strong foundations of culture, art, history and traditions intertwined with hustling bustling lifestyles; a rush to catch daily metro to a solace in the lap of magnificent landmarks. Delhi was a political and administrative hub of the country from dating back before independence, witnessed various transitions and adopted a blend of scenic sites evident in the streets, shrines, temples, mosques, monuments, parks, markets and art forms. Currently, facing a depressing Covid situation, city will certainly rejoice in this accomplishment.
