The Chief Minister of Delhi Shri. Arvind Kejriwal has director the instructions of operating the restaurants in the capital 24X7 on Wednesday 7th October with all safety precautions. The allowance is given as being one of the promises made by the Aam Aadmi Party in February election manifesto.

The decision declared during a meeting which included the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and restaurant owners of the capital.

In the meeting, the excise department agreed to review the existing policy of a 10 per cent automatic increase in the license fees every year.

Currently, in Delhi from the past many years the timings of the allowance to operate were 11 am to 11 pm. The liquor shops were allowed to open last till 1 is in the night.

Roughly almost 20,000 registered restaurants in the city, of which nearly 650 restaurants licensed to serve alcoholic beverages by the Govt. officials.

Measures will ensure the introduction of licensing reforms in the restaurant industry.

The chief minister assured that to provide safety with the license policies to the stakeholders of the restaurants.

As per the decision, the opening of the restaurants will help to promote tourism and economic the revival of the hospitality industry in the capital.

The decisions were taken to permit the in the open areas sitting such as balconies, verandas without allowing the late-night DJs and music which might create noise pollution and disturbance in societies.

According to the statement of the Delhi CM, Delhi's restaurants will be the pride of the capital and can also employ lakhs of people.
