Delhi's Air quality getting deteriorated


For the very first time in this season, Delhi's  Air quality resulted under the "very poor " category on Tuesday morning.

According to the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Air Quality Early warning system for Delhi an increase in farm fires in Punjab and several parts of Haryana is going to impact the air quality in Delhi NCR.Today, the city recorded an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 304, which falls under the poor category and on Monday AQI was 261, Wazirpur AQI-380, Vivek vihar -355, Jahangirpuri -349 recorded the highest pollution level.

According to a senior scientist from Delhi, the pollution control committee said, "Stubble Burning has also increased in neighboring states and the ventilation index is low".
An Imagery from NASA'S Satellite showed a large cluster of fires near Amritsar, Firozpur, Punjab, Patiala, Ambala and Kaithal in Haryana.

Experts have warned that the height level of air pollution can aggravate the covid 19 in Delhi NCR and official statement by the Government  agency said "It's likely to be Bare" due to shifting in the wind direction from north-westerly."Green Room '' has been set up with 10 expert members at Delhi secretariat to monitor the steps taken to deal with the high level of air pollution and the environment department is also taking strict action  against project postponement and large construction and dust control.

The government will start spraying "Pusa -Bio-Decompose" solution in non -Basmati rice fields and experts stated that it can turn stubble into manure within 15 to 20 days and can prevent stubble burning.

On 15th October, A part of Graded Response  Action Plan, which was implemented in 2017 in Delhi NCR will be in force with strict measures regarding air pollution in Delhi and its neighboring parts.
