Delhi's Air Quality Shifts From "Poor To Moderate" After Heavy Rainfall In The City

AQI stands at 132!


On Saturday, The Air Quality Index (AQI) of the National capital took a shift from Poor category to Moderate Category after heavy rain lashed Delhi.


The Air Quality Index (AQI) on Saturday stood at 132 which comes under one of the finest qualities after October 26, 2021. The AQI between 0-50 is good,51-100 is satisfactory,101-200 is moderate,201-300 is poor, 301-400 is very poor and 401-500 is Severe. The National capital was reeling with an incessant pollution level with a choked environment leading to breathing problems. 


The Air Quality of Noida remains in the Moderate Category with an AQI of 100, the Gurugram city in Haryana, reports a moderate category with AQI at 156.


The Delhi Government implemented several other awareness programs, several guidelines to curb the pollution of the capital city. But after more than three months the capital city witnessed relaxation in the air pollution level. The city breathes fresh air on Saturday.


According to the India meteorological department (IMD) said, "Thunderstorm with Moderate to heavy intensity rain would occur over and adjoining area of NCR (Chhapraula, Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Ballabgarh) Palwal, Aurangabad, (Haryana) Tizara, Alwar (Rajasthan)."


The city witnessed heavy rain also the National capital region (NCR) witnessed heavy rain which led to waterlogging problems in the capital city and Several other NCR regions.
