Delhi's minimum temperature at 4°C

AQI stands at 316


The National capital and the NCR region are witnessing bone-chilling cold waves. The capital city is to witness a minimum of 4°C temperature in the city.

 

According to the India meteorological department (IMD) said, "Minimum temperature recorded at 4°C at around 8:39 am in the Safdarjung area of Delhi, this morning." IMD also said, "Cold wave to serve cold wave conditions are very likely to continue in some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh during the next 24 hours and cold wave conditions are very likely at isolated pockets for the subsequent 24 hours”

 

Not only, the temperature dip, but the common problem of the capital city is always at peak. The city witnesses an air quality index (AQI) in the very poor category. The AQI of the city stood at 316.

 

According to the system of air quality and weather forecasting and Research (SAFAR), it said the AQI slipped back to very poor on Tuesday with an overall AQI at 316.

 

The India meteorological department (IMD) also warned about the deteriorating weather conditions and said, "The Air quality is likely to deteriorate and remain in the upper end of the very poor category but improve after December 26." Further said, "The predominant surface wind is likely to remain calm in Delhi with mainly clear sky and shallow fog in the morning.
