Delhi Shop Owner Robbed at Gunpoint

A shop owner in Jyoti Nagar, New Delhi, was subjected to a gunpoint robbery, during which his phone and other valuable items were taken, as per the police's statement on Tuesday.

 

As per the shop owner's account, four individuals on two motorcycles forcibly took away his mobile phone, a sum of Rs. 2.5 lakh in cash, his cheque book, credit and debit cards, as well as his Aadhar card and PAN card.

 

The incident occurred on Monday around 8 pm as Mr. Gupta was preparing to leave for home after closing his shop.

 

According to the Delhi police, they received a PCR call on Monday at 8:32 pm, reporting the robbery. Sachin Gupta, the owner of an electrical shop located at LIG flats across from the Indian Oil Petrol Pump near Durgapuri Gol Chakkar in Jyoti Nagar, was on his way home at approximately 8:00 pm when he was confronted by four individuals on two motorcycles, who robbed him at gunpoint.

 

In his statement, he mentioned that the robbers made away with a bag containing his phone and multiple cards.

 

The police stated that they are currently reviewing CCTV footage in the vicinity, and multiple teams have been dispatched to ascertain the identities of the culprits.

 

A case has been registered, and the authorities are actively conducting further investigations into the matter.
