Delhi, UP to receive moderate rainfall with thunderstorms: IMD

Meanwhile, the national capital received heavy rains in few parts of the city which reported waterlogging and heavy traffic.


On Monday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. 

According to an official, "Rain lashed in some parts of the city on Sunday morning and the minimum temperature settled at 24.5 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's normal."

According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), "Thunderstorms with moderate to heavy intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of Meerut, Modinagar, Pilakhua, Hapur, Gulaothi, Siyana, Sikandrabad, Bulandshahr, Khurja, Jahangirabad (UP) during next 2 hours."
