Delhi weather update: Dense fog in the hottest month of the city

Weather not normal in the current season....


Delhi-NCR witnessed dense of fog on Thursday morning after days of rainfall and gusty winds. This weather is not normal in the current season as May is the hottest month of the year in the city with maximum temperature of 39.5 degrees Celsius.

 

Due to moisture in the air a significant difference between daytime and nighttime create conditions that are favorable for the formation of fog, weather department officials said.

 

For the past two days Delhi has been witnessing incessant rainfall, resulting in shallow fog in the early morning time.

 

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted drizzle at one or two places on Thursday and Saturday in the national capital while the weather will be partly cloudy on Friday and Saturday, IMD said.

 

The maximum temperature in Delhi was 30.6 degrees on Wednesday.

 

According to the IMD, the maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 32 and 17 degrees respectively today in the national capital.

 

Delhi recorded rainfall up to 20.9 mm in the last 24 hours.
