Delhi: "Dena hi padega," 700 Tonnes of oxygen says, Supreme Court to Centre
The Supreme court on Thursday said to the Centre that, the National Capital must get at least 700 tonnes of oxygen.Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the city has been getting roughly half of the quantity of the oxygen it has been officially allocated while neighboring BJP ruled states like Uttar Pradesh and Haryana have been prioritized. He requested 700 tons of oxygen per day in Delhi, Where Covid Death continues to rise. He said hospitals keep sending out SOS for medical oxygen every few hours.

According to Tushar Mehta, Solicitor General, While responding the Centre said in defense that the Kejriwal Government is using the Institution of Supreme Court to speak against the Centre. There has to be an audit before there is a systematic failure, but it is not against political leadership or officers. The Centre was given a mandate twice by the people of this country, and we are very much concerned we cannot be Delhi Centric. Further added that the medical oxygen problem in Delhi is the city's own making," the problem in Delhi is not because of less supply but serious systematic failure in distribution" said the Centre.
In a news briefing, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that, if we get an adequate supply of 700 tonnes of oxygen, we will be able to set up 9,000 to 9,500 beds in Delhi. He said I assure you that we will not let anyone die due to oxygen shortages.
