Dense Fog Disrupts Flights in Delhi

Today in New Delhi, 16 flights are experiencing delays attributed to dense fog. Officials report that 11 international and five domestic flights are affected, with the drop in temperature and heightened fog impacting various parts of north India, including Delhi.

 

The Meteorological Office reported that the minimum temperature near the airport in Palam was recorded at 14 degrees Celsius.

 

In the midst of the biting cold, numerous individuals sought refuge at a night shelter at AIIMS in south Delhi, as reported by news agency ANI. Comparable scenes unfolded in other locations, with homeless individuals bundled up under heavy blankets and quilts at night shelters in the Lodhi Road area.

 

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) reported that the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi has been recorded under the 'severe' category.
