Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was arrested by CBI

In Delhi excise policy case.....


New Delhi: Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the excise policy scam case on Tuesday. 

 

 

However the Supreme Court is ready to hear Sisodia's bail plea at 3:50pm. Seeking an urgent hearing the plea was mentioned by Abhishek Manu Singhvi before the bench led by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud.

 

 

Earlier a day after the special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court grant 5 days remand of Sisodia on Monday to CBI till March 4, in a view to interrogate him in the excise policy case. Before the court on Monday, the senior AAP leader was produced.

 

 

On Sunday deputy chief minister was arrested by CBI AAP leaders and workers hold protests in several states on Monday.

 

 

The workers were sitting on roads and shouting slogans, some staged foot March wearing handcuffs again BJP in national capital. Police tried to push them back as they were attempting to cross the barricades. The police asked the party workers to step inside the office 

 

 

In the national capital outside the party office AAP workers protested, raising slogans such as”Jail ke taale tutenge, Manish Sisodia chutenge" (Jail locks will be broken, Manish Sisodia will be freed).

 

AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj said they have come to be arrested, as the agency has arrested Manish Sisodia in a false case.
