She was in byculla Jail for blackmailing
On 28 march 2023, a 25-year-old designer named Anishka Jaisinghani, who is also a law student, was released from the Byculla Jail after she was granted bail by a special court on Monday in a case of blackmail.
As per the information, Anishka was arrested on March 16 in Ulhasnagar for allegedly demanding Rs. 10 crores and blackmailing Maharashtra deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis' wife, Amruta Fadnavis.
Amruta Fadnavis filed a complaint at the Malabar Hill police station when she received a threatening call and asked to offer a bribe of Rs 1 crore rupees to designer Anishka. She also told them that the desiner knows her from 16 months.
Following the incident, the police registered a complaint against the designer, Anishka, and her father, Anil Jaisinghani.
According to the police, Anil Jaisinghani has absconded from five years of criminal activity logged under 16 cases, and the police are searching for him.
