DMRC will conduct land vibration checks near 80 metro stations

The project includes 24-hour surveillance at 80 locations around Delhi Metro and eight-hour surveillance at 20 locations. It will cost a total of 11.44 lakh rupees.


Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has taken important steps to reduce the vibration of land near 80 metro stations. DMRC will conduct land vibration checks near 80 stations. Appropriate steps will be taken to prevent it when the vibration is high. This type of investigation has been done earlier also. According to DMRC, it is also important to check the vibration of the land, so the vibrations caused by the metro will be investigated. During this time, if the vibration exceeds the set standards, then work will be done to reduce it. DMRC will monitor the vibration during train movement at 80 metro stations along Yellow Line (Samaypur Badli-Huda City Center) and Violet Line (Kashmiri Gate-Ballabhgarh) lines. In this regard, Delhi Metro has also issued a tender to check the land vibration level at 80 places.

The project includes 24-hour surveillance at 80 locations around Delhi Metro and eight hours monitoring at 20 locations. It will cost 11.44 lakh rupees. The tender receiving agency under the project will collect samples from these 60 locations and its vibrations will be tested, to be completed within a year.
