Aussie couple won a competition after they name son ‘Dominic’
A competition organised by the fast food chain Domino’s claims to offer free pizza for 60 years to one Australian family that named its newborn baby either ‘Dominic’ or ‘Dominique’. To participate in the competition, the baby had to be born on December 9, 2020 in Australia.
Clementine Oldfield and Anthony Lot, a Sydney based couple won the competition after they welcomed their first baby in the early hours of the day, just a few hours after the event began. The company declared the couple winners of the competition after they showed the pizza outlet the birth certificate of their new born son. The outlet claimed that they would get pizza worth $14 every month for 60 years, which would be worth $10,080.
In a post on social media, Domino’s Australia announced: “Weighing in at 3.907kg, or approximately 23 garlic breads, he is the first baby for the couple and clearly a born winner.” The competition was scheduled to remain open till January 2021.
Anthony was quoted saying by LADBible, “My mother sent us a screenshot of the promo on Tuesday and we laughed it off thinking well that’s kind of funny because he’s coming on Tuesday, not on Wednesday.” However Clementine went into intense 72-hour labour, this meant the baby was born at 1.47 am on December 9, hence became the rightful winner of the competitions.
