Dr Johnson V. Edicula receives HRDF World Humanitarian Award

Dr Edicula was nominated for the prestigious award by Dr Shafeeq Shahul Hameed, who is the founder and chairman of the National Human Rights And Humanitarian Federation (NHRF).


International Human Rights Defenders Foundation presented the World Humanitarian award to Dr Johnson V. Edicula for his prestigious volunteer service towards humanity, peace, social justice, communal harmony, human rights activities and public health. He was nominated for the prestigious award by Dr Shafeeq Shahul Hameed, who is the founder and chairman of the National Human Rights And Humanitarian Federation (NHRF).

Dr Johnson V. Edicula is one of the renowned social activists across the world. He is also the National President of the National Forum for Social Justice Minorities Committee, State Chairman of the Human Rights Protection Council of India, URF Book of World Records Asian Jury, General Secretary of the Kerala Youth Welfare Board Youth Awards Association and President of Sauhrada Vedhi, which is a registered charitable society. He has also been selected as the Ambassador for United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Network. Talking about this project, it aims to spread awareness among the people about the Sustainable Development Goals in the country, including the 17 issues that need to be addressed by the nations of the world before 2030.

Dr Edicula was born in Kerala, India. He devoted his life to the poor and downtrodden after completing his education. Since 1995, he has been serving the downtrodden society through different charitable organisations. He is the pioneer of World Vision and he also funded Beracha Foundation in 2003 intending to uplift the homeless, sick and the orphaned.

Briefing you about the awards, he bagged many awards and recognitions from various institutions and organisations for his honest humanitarian services toward the needy, dedication and passion for his work to help people as well as spread love and peace around the world. He has also been awarded the Youth Awards from the Government of Kerala and Government of India in 2005 and has also achieved an Outstanding Best Social Worker Award from Indian Jaycees, Consumers Federation of India, Youth Club Association, Genius Foundation. Meanwhile, an excellence award has also been presented to him from the Indian Book of Records, whereas a Good Samaritan Award has been given by the Catholic Federation of India and the 'Karma Shresta' Award by BHRC, the Humanitarian Awards from the National Human Rights and Humanitarian Federation and Global Human Rights Foundation, Delhi. Not only this he has also been in limelight for his work during the harsh times of the Covid-19 pandemic and he has done a commendable job as a covid warrior.

Not only this, Dr Edicula has been listed in the India Book of Records, Assist World Record, Unique World Record, World Amazing Record, Indian Achievers Book of Records, UK - based Record Holders' Republic and URF World Records.
