DU resumes physical classes from today

A guideline has been issued in view of the reopening of classes.


Covid-19 situation across the country has led to the closure of schools and colleges for the last two years. The classes have been running in an online mode, whereas the education has been impacted badly due to the Covid-19 scenario. Due to this, students lack behind in physical classes and practical sessions.

Meanwhile, Delhi University (DU) and its affiliated colleges will resume their physical classes from today (Wednesday).

According to an official notification by the University Grant Commission (UGC), universities have to follow SOPs while opening the campus. A guideline has been issued in view of the reopening of colleges and universities. The order has been issued to make sure everyone follows appropriate Covid-19 behaviour in the campus.

Regarding the vaccine doses, the order stated that students visiting the campus must have taken a single dose of the Covid-19 vaccine whereas hostel residents are requested to take both doses. Meanwhile, the teaching and non-teaching staff have to take both doses at their earliest.

The national capital was hit hard by Covid-19 during the deadly second wave which has created fear among the people.
