DU signs MoU with University of Ladakh for academic collaboration

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed by Delhi university with University of Ladakh which will happen for five years for “scientific and academic collaboration”.


On Thursday, Delhi University (DU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Ladakh  which will happen for five years for “scientific and academic collaboration”. Du vice-chancellor P .C Joshi and University of Ladakh vice-chancellor C Phunsog, came together in signing the Memorandum including Vikas Gupta and Imteeaz Kachor respectively, present as witnesses.

The university aims in sharing knowledge with other universities to help in transformation and growth, the main point here is to set up a socio-cultural milieu, and a productive environment in the learning process, K Ratnabali adds. Moreover, the MoU is “in line with Clause 10.6 of the National Education Policy 2020” in which higher educational institutes (HEI) help  in supporting other HEIs in their development, community engagement, and service, contribution to various fields of practice, faculty development, etc.

Besides, the center is also helping in the growth of the University of Ladakh which also likes to empower the people there through education seeing the pandemic situation, through the digitalization of both universities to “transact knowledge in real-time”.The collaboration also includes exchange meant program of staff, students in expanding the knowledge horizontal way.

Meanwhile, in both online and offline ways the learning and interactive process will be done which will encourage the beneficial way for the student and faculty. the cultural exchange programs and sports activities in both institutions including library resources and laboratory facilities, joint PhD programs, joint postgraduate courses.
