Dunki's Day 1 Box Office

Shah Rukh Khan's Film Aims for Rs 30 Crore Debut

Shah Rukh Khan fans can now watch his new movie 'Dunki' after waiting for months.

Rajkumar Hirani directed the movie, which has now hit theaters worldwide. Fans are flocking to catch the early previews, and reviews from both audiences and critics are varied—some dubbing it a 'Masterpiece,' while others deem it a 'disappointment.'

'Dunki' is set for a broad release today, spanning 4000 screens and over 13,000 shows in the country. Initial trade reports indicated advance bookings of around Rs 12 crore on Wednesday. However, as per Sacnilk.com, the movie might witness a substantial surge in numbers, with projections estimating an impressive Rs 30 crore nett on its first day in India for all languages.

The projected Rs 30 crore debut for 'Dunki' falls significantly short of Shah Rukh Khan's previous film, 'Jawan,' which had a box office debut of Rs 75 crore.

'Dunki' faces a box office showdown as it releases alongside Prabhas' 'Salaar' and Jason Momoa's Hollywood superhero film, 'Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom,' on Friday, December 22. The three movies will vie for audience attention over the extended Christmas weekend.

Prior to the world premiere, Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani organized a special screening for the cast, crew, and industry friends at YRF studios in Mumbai. The event took place on Wednesday night following SRK and Hirani's return from a promotional tour in Dubai.
