Earthquakes disturb Turkey

More than 500 people died due to an Earthquake...


On 6 February 2023, a tremorous earthquake hit southern Turkey and Syria with a magnitude of 7.8 that led to the collision of  the buildings resulting in the death of over 500 people in more than 100 years.

Following the information, the earthquake struck at 4 Am in the morning as per the local time, 23 km to the east of Nurdagi, Gaziantep Provinces, at a depth of 24.1 kilometers which is approximately 14.9 miles. Many people were stuck under the debris

The United States geological survey (USGS) informed that the earthquake was felt in several countries across the region that include Syria and Lebanon. Nearly 284 people died and more than 2,300 were injured in turkey. The death toll is more in Syria.

Turkey’s leader posted on Twitter that they hope that they will get through this disaster together as soon as possible with the least damage.

Jake Sullivan the US national security advisor informed that Washington is ready to provide any assistance if they need it.
