Education Minister to answer students queries on CBSE Board exam evaluation process today


Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank will interact with students on Friday ( 25th June) at 4 p.m through social media addressing concerns of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) students on class 10 and 12 board exam evaluation criteria.

According to the tweet, the Union Education Minister wrote that" I will be interacting with dear students tomorrow at 4 p.m to discuss their concerns and queries related to the evaluation of the CBSE board exam. If you have any doubts or suggestions, you may share them on Twitter or Facebook by the afternoon of 25th June."

Meanwhile, on Thursday the apex court said there cannot be a uniform scheme for the assessment of class 12 marks for all states across India and refused to pass that order. The supreme court also dismissed the petition challenging the CBSE and the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) decision to cancel the 12th board exam, while also giving approval to an assessment scheme brought out by the boards to evaluate the students. Whereas students who are not satisfied with their result and the current criteria can appear in the examination to be conducted by boards when the situation becomes conducive. 

Whereas, As per the information the students will be evaluated on a 30:30:40 formula based on performance in class 10, 11 and 12 respectively. While schools have been asked to submit class 10 marks till 30 June the deadline for schools to compile class 12 marks is July 15. The centre told the apex court the results will be announced by July 31.
