PIAGGIO TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIP FOR CHILDREN
On 151 the birth anniversary of MahatmaGandhi, Piaggio Vehicles Private Limited decided to give a special scholarship to the children ofthe auto-rickshaw driver's community on this occasion.
This scholarship has been named as, "Education to Prosperity" and under this, selected schoolstudents of classes 10, 12 will be supported.As per the media reports, the company has decided to run the scheme under its CSR programme. Piaggio Ltd. which has also collaborated with the Buddy4Study India Foundation.Under this programme, 80 percent of the annual course fee will be provided to the selected students who are pursuing a full-term technical or vocational course after class 10 or 12.
The main aim of this scholarship programme is to help the children of underprivileged auto-rickshaw driver's to chase their dream by helping them with financial necessities.
They added how to apply procedure about this program-students must have scored more than 55 per cent marks in their class 10th or 12th examination and must be named in a technical or professional full-term course like ITI or Polytechnic.
The total annual income of the applicants family should be less than Rs 3,00,000. The scholarship will be given only to the shortlisted students which will be equal to 80 per cent of the annual fee of the course or maximum of Rs 20,000 per year.

The scholarship link and the helpline number both will be activated from the month of October 2nd, 2020 on Gandhi Jayanti.
