"Eid Milad Un Nabi Greetings!" tweets Prime Minister Modi

12th day of the Islamic Calendar, Rabee-ul-Awwal is observed as the birth of the Prophet Mohammad ? and celebrated as the Eid Milad-un-Nabi.


The prestigious day of the birth of the Prophet Mohammad ? is celebrated as the Eid Milad-un-Nabi. This year, it is being celebrated from the evening of 18th October 2021 to the evening of 19th October 2021.

The most beloved of the Almighty Allah and the last of all Islamic Prophets Hazrat Mohammad ? was born in Mecca on the 12th of Rabee-ul-Awwal in 570 CE. This is the third month of the Islamic calendar, commencing with the sighting of the moon.

This day has great significance in Islam. The Muslims of every corner of the globe celebrate it with immense pleasure as a remembrance of the kindest Prophet of all times. 

This purest day is a remembrance of the life of Prophet Muhammad ?  and his teachings, sufferings, and character, as he is said to have forgiven even his enemies. Also, Muslims believe to follow the footsteps of the Prophet to enter heaven. The Muslims celebrate this day by wearing new clothes, offering prayers, giving donations and throwing a feast among the close ones.

Many prominent leaders of the country like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind and others have extended their heartiest wishes to people on this prestigious occasion of Eid Milad un Nabi. 

The Prime Minister tweeted, "Milad-un-Nabi greetings", and also added, "Let there be peace and prosperity all around. May the virtues of kindness and brotherhood always prevail. Eid Mubarak!” The President of the country said that citizens must take inspiration from the life and ideals of Prophet Muhammad.
